early-bird: 28 February 2026

regular: 30 April 2026

Important note for visa-seeking students: Please read about the visa process before applying. You are responsible for organizing your legal stay in Czechia and the visa process can be quite lengthy. We therefore strongly recommend the early-bird deadline.

In a rapidly evolving media environment, marked by changing communication technologies, shifting public discourse, and complex social dynamics, the program offers essential insights into how media shapes—and is shaped by—society.  We emphasise the development of your critical thinking and practical skills in the field of empirical research. On the one hand, the curriculum is oriented on sociological and media theory and on the other hand, it provides knowledge and skills in the field of empirical research methodology, using both quantitative and qualitative analytical research methods, applicable to both mainstream and social media.

The program offers an extensive range of courses, covering areas such as digital media, political communication, cultural studies and discourse analysis on the media side, as well as social theory, civil society, globalisation, anthropology of social media, and ethnography on the sociological side.
