Economics and Finance (MEF)
This program aims to give you a thorough grounding in both theoretical and applied economics. Aside from compulsory courses in microeconomics, macroeconomics and econometrics, you can choose from a wide range of elective courses. The courses are taught not only by academics but also external professionals from the central bank, commercial banks and business analysts. As a MEF graduate, you can assume challenging positions in banking, consulting, investment funds and public administration.

Program description
This program is designed to help you acquire quantitative and qualitative skills that are essential for solving complex economic problems in various areas of the financial industry. We place great emphasis on developing analytical competence that helps you build a rich understanding of finance phenomena and propose practical solutions to modern economic challenges.
We offer a wide range of electives to prepare you for challenging and rewarding professional careers in various areas of finance and investment. You will learn from esteemed academics and industry experts. As the program exposes you to advanced topics in economics and finance, you are required to have an excellent background in mathematics. You should have completed at least two terms of Bachelor level mathematics. Prior knowledge of Bachelor level economics or finance is an advantage, but it is not required. Find more info here.

The MEF curriculum is recognized by the Chartered Financial Analysts (CFA) Institute.
