Yunori Sarah Triputri: My experience studying at the Institute of Sociological Studies (ISS)
When I was searching for universities, I knew exactly what I was looking for: a school that could connect me with real opportunities. I chose the Institute of Sociological Studies FSV UK because it was especially impressive to me. I’ve had industry professionals and established academics personally teaching my classes. I’ve made connections with people I otherwise never could, an entryway to all kinds of industry, such as marketing, film, sustainability, anthropology associations, etc. The professors are experts who have been instrumental not only in my learning but also in gaining wider exposure to what paths are possible after university. Additionally, my program (Social Sciences) is quite a small program, so it’s more friendly and tight-knit. The same thing applies to the classrooms; it’s much easier to gain attention and support from your teachers and obtain 1-on-1 guidance, so it’s easier to build relationships.
On top of that, after living in Prague for 4 years, I can guarantee that it is one of the best European cities for students. It’s got everything. A vibrant life, rich culture; the winter feels magical, and the summer is lively. You can get cheap beer with your friends in the local pub, or have a chill picnic in any one of the hundreds of parks, and then go home to your flat with affordable public transportation.
